Superior Purification Technology

90% of all particles are smaller than the HEPA standard's most penetrating particle - .3m. This does not mean better HEPA air purifiers cannot capture smaller particles. But the finer particles may slip around cheaper machines without tight gaskets and sealing.

For example:
- Cat dander and dust mite droppings go down as fine as .1m.
- Smog and cigarette smoke have particles that are as small as 0.01m.
- Viruses can be as small as 0.01m.

When the largest particulates have been removed by average air purifiers, indoor air will appear to have been cleaned. Appearances deceive, as gas toxins and fine particulates we cannot see remain airborne.

Most specialty air purifiers only clean up to 0.1 microns. All IQAir products filter down to 0.003 microns, thus catching even the tiniest smog, tobacco and virus particles.

The HealthPro Plus isn’t just a better air cleaner. It introduces a whole new level of air cleaning that has never previously been available for home use. Based on technology that IQAir developed for hospitals and multi-million dollar clean rooms, IQAir created its patented HyperHEPA technology. Ordinary HEPA is advertised to filter particles only down to 0.3 microns in size, but 90% of all ultrafine particles are below 0.3 microns. Efficiency statements of many air cleaners look impressive at first glance. Air cleaners with HEPA filters often advertise efficiencies of 99.97% for particles of 0.3 microns (that’s about 240 times smaller than the width of a human hair) and larger. The unique design of the HealthPro Plus helps to prevent shortcutting, which reduces the effectiveness of most air cleaners. Shortcutting occurs when the air outlet and air intake of an air cleaner are positioned too close to one another.
